Namor TV Show - Tales to Astonish #2 - Lost Namor TV Series
When it comes to superhero history, you can be pretty sure that Namor, the Sub Mariner, did it first. Marvel Comics’? He was the first superhero. Anti-heroes? Yep, he’s got that covered too. First hero-on-hero rumble? Sub Mariner vs. Human Torch (the robot, not Johnny Storm - long story. The 1940s were a strange time in comics). Flight? Yep, he had the Blue Boy Scout beat in that department too. While the Man of Tomorrow would have to wait till tomorrow to do more than leap tall buildings in a single bound, Namor was cruising in the clouds (and probably mocking the goody-two-shoes while he was at it…) But you know what Namor hasn’t done yet? He hasn’t gotten a film - and that’s a travesty that needs to be undone. Sure, a lot of people tried along the way, but every attempt to bring us the live-action adventures of the angry Atlantian has been deep sixed.
